The Fresh Breed of Climate Warriors- Manu Sharma

I could see a mini Green Revolution being instilled in the new breed of Climate Change Warriors. Myra's active discussion on global warming and how earth will become 4 degrees hotter than now in next 10 years were few of the chats we had on our dining table. I feel, because one cant bring the change; a collective voice through these young warriors is a beginning of new chain of thoughts around us.
Manu Sharma (M/o Myra Khandelwal)
6-Kanha

I saw this IDU initiative, and I think it is today’s need as it is very important for our young generation to understand how our Earth needs protection. I love to listen Shreeya telling me how we turned our mother Earth into a garbage box, changing environment due to experiments and changing its temperature. I am amazed as this program is inducing responsibility in them to do something for our environment to save Earth.
Parul Mittal ( Shreeya Mittal 6 Gir).

Want to express my appreciation for the wonderful IDU recently held last few weeks. Arhaan thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it… right from acting, writing the script and becoming a micro-organism( doing his own make up on his face etc. ) ;-)

This was a beautifully curated programme where children enjoyed and learnt in an informal atmosphere. Topics like Climate change and Global Warming are extremely important these days & am so happy that the kids researched about the same on their own and learnt so much more.

This was a good break from Too much text book knowledge and online teaching.

I want to compliment the teachers for their tremendous efforts!

Besides learning about new concepts like permafrost etc , they also worked on honing up their leadership skills, team spirit and learnt time management. Their non stop involvement in the project with their class mates, dedication, commitment and passion were commendable.

I saw Arhaan switching from online gaming these two weeks, instead spent so much time rehearsing online , clicking and compiling videos and so much more.

BIG Thank you to all of you for organising this for our children.

Regards

Vinnie Mathur

M/o Arhaan Mathur

6, Kanha

It was heartening to see Shubhika being worried about the condition the earth is in. It is important for them to get sensitized about this condition which will make them mindful as they go along. I particularly liked the concept of Shubhika donning the hat of a TV presenter and doing her part well. The worry in her voice is genuine. They have really been highly involved in this entire unit. The lesson has been well interwoven to keep their interest and curiosity alive.

It was a wonderful experience for children to be a part of this engaging & insightful learning journey! A deep reflection on today’s global environmental crisis is much needed for this generation of children as their actions today will define their future. Anav really enjoyed the fun learning experience where his favourite part was taking his father’s interview on pollution. We saw him really excited throughout this time & he took initiative to participate in the activities with zeal & enthusiasm. He was intrigued by the fact that global warming is irreversible & discovered a lot about it during this whole new experience. Thanks to the facilitators for making their learning journey so interesting & fun filled. We look forward to many more such experiences in the future. Thank you.

Climate change topic was very enlightening not only just for kids but for the parents too. I was once studying with Shaurya and was amazed to see his understanding on the subject and the genuine concern he had for the same.
In our day to day lives we do not bother to give a serious thought to this issue and hence forget to take small measures to contribute our bit. But while studying with Shaurya I learnt that how important it is and how best we can contribute to control the further damage. At least we are better aware now.
Thanks to the teachers!
Hope to learn on more such topics in the future
Thanks,
Swati
