Sand kittens mostly lives in desert because they prefer very dry, arid habitat with little vegetation because they are well adapted in those environment. 
They live in dry plains and rocky valley that has cold temperature. The temperature in that place can be as low as 31 f degree and can be as hot as 124 f degrees
