Like with all our boys, I couldn’t wait to see him graduate from high school in 3 months and pursue his dreams. Rayray was well known and loved by his peers and adults at Kingston High School. He was full of energy, often the center of attention—that annoying class-clown you can’t help but love and gravitate towards. That’s what he was in our group. I’ll cherish all the fun field trips and moments we all shared with him. The countless jokes and laughs on all the bus rides. We could always count on Ray Ray to lift our spirits. But we also got to see a side of Rayray that only those close to him knew he had—he was a deep, introspective thinker. He was a smart and curious young man, and even when he had trouble focusing we knew he would always pull through in the end. I’ll miss your voice, your laugh and your presence, my brother. 

Times like this I’m reminded to always tell the people we love how much they mean to us. Reach out and remind them every day. The days leading up to his passing, Ray Ray was enamored with the thought of improving his life and finishing school strong. That’s all he spoke to us about. 

I hope the memory of our brother Ray Ray will continue to inspire us to become the best version of ourselves we can be, each and every day.

I never knew Ray Ray, not even his name—and now I see him in this community. People are not limited to their conventional anatomy, but become part of everything interacted with. I first met him in my classroom while we studied literature. There, RayRay would begin each morning with questions that would challenge me to think about the purpose of the lesson, what we were reading and what I was saying out loud to his peers. He wanted to make sure I was not wasting anybody's time. Now, sitting here thinking about him, I understand how valuable each moment and time I share with him was for everyone present.      It is so sad and heart broken to hear about such unexpected news that you are no more. All though I never new who Ray Ray was but met him in the hall  way once, he was always a kid who will smile, socialize with other students (people around him) .
      All I will say is that may the good lord put his soul at a peaceful and kindly place.

I grew up going to school with him and his whole family. I wasn't the closest with him but I was close enough to know this, he was a bright kid an he had a future. He didn't have a filter but that's what made him, well him and a funny likable kid. I just wish that this world was just a little bit more concerned about the violence and weapon abuse in young children, their loosing their lives way too soon, and that truly breaks my heart.
   My prayers go out to his family and closest friends I will always remember the day when him and I and another friend of ours went cam out with me while I was taking pictures and I managed to get a good picture of him.
