I wanted her Padlet to be just as fun as she is and capture some of the amazing qualities that make her who she is. Her Padlet contains 4 sections to it; Mouse Books, Halloween Books, Vacation Books, and books where the main character has her name. The mouse book was the first section of her Padlet because on the very first meeting within 5 minutes she introduced me to her pet mouse. I could tell how much that animal means to her which is why it is not only included but the first section. The next section is Halloween. I thought it was so interesting that her favorite holiday was Halloween and that she loves everything spooky. The books included are fun books to read around Halloween but can be read any time of the year. The “Vacation” section came from the end of our last two meetings together. She mentioned how she loved traveling and visiting family and friends and I thought this section would be a fun one to read on her own or with her family and friends that she visits. The final section is the name section. I think names are incredibly important especially as children because they are a part of who we are. I wanted books in her Padlet that she could connect to and try and put herself into. Having a book to read that has some relatability to it is perfect for that, and why I added it to the Padlet.
