Now Michael's cousin is acting as his dad until Carlos turns 18 so they don't get taken away by ACS and get split up. Micheal's cousin is noticeably different then Michael's dad but Mr.Gibbs is unsure about that, he is trying his best to hide the secret but also get a birth certificate to play baseball. I learn that Michael is trying his hardest but having a hard time to get around with things.

The book Heat by Mike Lupica is a very good book for anyone that likes sports books as well as mystery books. I don't like how much detail they lack to give but It's not that big of a deal. I would recommend the book to anyone who likes to read a sports book about someone and their journey to a professional career. I'd give it a 7/10

The main idea/them of Heat by Mike Lupica I believe is how family can mean a lot and is needed everyday. I think this because in the book they are always saying how Michael misses his dad and has not contact of any other relatives in Cuba, with this he can't get a birth certificate. So I think the author is trying to say Family is everything.

I like how the author makes you feel like you are with Michael and part of his life following him with everything. The author adds a lot of dialogue to make the readers feel in the conversations to really know whats going on in the story. Overall I think the Author does a very good job to keep the reader attached and create suspense for chapter after chapter.

The main conflict of the story is Isaiah's concussion and how it's affecting him. Isaiah is struggling to keep himself straight and he is noncontinuous lying to his teachers, coaches, and friends about the concussion saying it's the flu. Isaiah has now come to realize that if he keeps doing this he will miss a lot and maybe lose some of the things he loves the most. This conflict is making the plot take a change from Isaiah lying to telling the truth on what happened so he doesn't lose the things he loves the most.
