         <description><![CDATA[<div>Causes:<br>change in management such as stabling a horse that was previously out at grass, dehydration, greedy horses which gorg on hay, eating a straw bed, grazing on sandy soil, dental issues, lack of fresh water, tapeworm infestation.<br>Symptoms:&nbsp;<br>pawing at ground, kicking at belly, flank watching, rolling, sweating.<br>Treatment:&nbsp;<br>rectal examination, withhold food to stop further build up, walking in hand to stimulate gut mobility, pain relief to control the discomfort. laxatives<br>prvention:<br>feed little and often, soak hay, dampen hard feeds, fresh water also avalable possibly add apple juice to encourgae drinking,&nbsp;add a salt lick, no sudden changes in routine, stable on non edible bedding<br>&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
