What is a needs assessment? Who is the target audience of the Needs Assessment in your project? Include a sample of 3-5 questions that would be included in a Needs Assessment that would be implemented in order to identify the need for your specific age group and topic. What are the hypothetical results of the Needs Assessment, meaning how are the results of the Needs Assessment supporting the need for your Proposed Group? 

How does the literature inform the need and efficacy of your identified group topic? What are the specifics to be mindful of for your group’s developmental and cognitive level and needs?

Support general information from the literature as well as supporting specifics applied to your group topic and developmental level: i.e., Group Size, Age or Grade Level, Type of group, Open or Closed? Etc.

Consider the importance of pre-planning the logistics of a group meeting…Where? When? What is the schedule? Support general information with information from resources, as well as application to your specific group’s topic.

Include the important information to help understand how students meet participation criteria (both general information and application to your group topic). Along with addressing the format of the screening process, include the topics/items that would be included as you are screening members?

What theoretical orientation would be implemented to help guide the approaches implemented through the group process?

What are the ethical considerations to be mindful of? i.e., please detail confidentiality concerns, address diversity considerations, and ethical guidelines, etc.

How would the efficacy of the group experience be measured?

How would you gather feedback from students? Offer 5-10 questions that may be included as an evaluation of the group experience/topic addressed.
