 A major tension in the 1920’s was the ban on alcohol. Alcohol was always a tradition of having a good time at the bar listening to music. When the government banned Alcohol it angered the people and changed the way they lived. Another major tension was womens rights because it gave women something to fight for even while they were being told to back down.
