Respect (Relevance)
- Showing videos of traditional dances or NIE dances such that movement is directed away from genders but more as a form of enjoyment and learning process.
-Introduce them to dances that use various props( Such as chinese dances that uses fans) so that students are educated on cultures and sensitive to cultures.
- For the fan scenario, can use humour to say that fans are a good source of ventilation so it is a smart choice.
- Teacher can intentionally switch the props such that all students use everything.
- For the initial part of choosing props, can let those students that are ready first to take the props so that we can use it as a lesson to teach kids that you should respect the rules in the class.

Care
- Use kind words and use empathy to ask students to think before they make certain comments.

By doing so, Jill would have shown acceptance of Tina’s shyness.
- She could use that incident to reinforce the ground rules and the consequences/effects when those rules are not followed
