Took me quite a bit of time to stop and think about how to introduce myself. My name is Nguyen Dinh Khoa, a 3rd year Professional Communication student in RMIT University and an executive member of Golden Flames Competition Club. I am interested in learning new things, especially related to technology goods, psychology and tools to understand myself and other people better (astrology is an example). I also love playing cardfight games.

I am a person driven by curiosity and knowledge. Learning new things and discussing about new knowledge and subjects are always exciting for me, because it helps a small me explore different small aspects of the world. It sometimes makes me have a bit of inferiority complex knowing the fact that I'm still have a lot to learn, but it also a motivation for me to keep learning and developing myself!

Understanding myself and other people also important with me. I believe that every person (regardless of their status or age) can teach me something new from their stories if I really understand them well enough. I also believe that understanding my own self is crucial part to achieve a true happiness.

Oh, by the way, my favourite color is Purple and Orange. My Sun Sign is in Sagittarius

It has been almost 3 years since I became a freshmen in RMIT. And I have experienced so many wonderful things here. To be honest, at first I didn't want to enroll in this university knowing the high expense and the environment. I assumed that the school will be full of rich-kids who discriminate people because of their look or status. But my assumption was wrong. RMIT University environment was different, and my status doesn't matter here. The important thing with me is that there are people from various background and diversed interests, which opened my mind a lot. I was able to be more curious learning new things, have new experiences overcome new challenges. Especially here, Golden Flames Competition Club is one of the greatest group I've ever joined in. They are very energetic, supportive, talented and nice. Long time spent with the club taught me a lot of things, especially in the way I develop myselves and knowing my capabilities. Overall, 3 years spent in this university was very crucial for my personal development, for me who doing this padlet today (but still sometimes wonder is it really worth my parents' money spent for me studying in the school).

The most considerable effect that COVID done to me is that my schedule exchanging campus to Melbourne in my second year was postponed indefinitely, so I have to stay at Vietnam and continue my study here. I'm not really frustrated, since I enjoy studying in RMIT Vietnam as well as spending time with GFCC.

And with my daily life? During the quarantine time, I spent the whole day inside my house, only go out to take my mom to a supermarket to buy necessaries for my home. My activities are always around playing games with my friends, watching Youtube, eating and sleeping. Pretty improductive from my point of view. I also leave of absence during the COVID time considering the effect it takes on my study. But because of that, I have lost my sense on time and surroundings. The most negative outcome is that I really start to forget things ussually because my brain didn't work much. It doesn't need to function to interact with other people or to do new tasks.

Positive side? I was able to learn a lot about personal computer. Watching videos about that topic days to days on Youtube helped me know almost every basic thing about a PC, its main parts, how do the parts function together, knowing the requirement of a high quality parts, which parts is fit together, ... Now I have a basic understand to consider carefully before purchase these kinds of stuff. Oh and I don't have an urge to come outside and meet my friends as desperately as other people. Perhaps because I am introverted and I get used to staying at home for quite long.

Let's say about the positive side first, I think COVID has brought HCM city a cleaner atmosphere. The effect of immigration has made HCM city more populated and suffocated than ever. Traffic jam happens everyday and takes a very long time, which makes HCM air polluted and able to harm your health if you not wearing a mask to protect you from fine dust. The COVID quarantine put people into a anxious situation which they affraid to go outside, which provide time for the air to gain back its freshness.

The quaratine put people into a lot of stress. Having to stay inside their house and avoid grouping has made several people suffered, because they want to meet their friends and co-workers. COVID prevent them from seeing and interacting face to face with other people, which made them stressful. Therefore, I see a need for communication and connection for the majority of people

The Pandemic also made people consider more carefully when making purchase decisions. My family has to stop spending ineffectively on goods that doesn't bring any practical value (fashions, luxurious goods,...)

Working people also have some financial struggles which made them stressed over time. They are more exhausted, anxious and get mad easily.

However, beautiful scene can also be seen. People in Vietnam support and help each other to overcome the difficulties of the pandemic

Not only from Government's side, the attempt to fight back COVID must be from both side and I am also proud of my country because of this. Being conscious to other people and your own safety sounds very simple, but it is very difficult to achieved because people have their own feelings. No one wants to stay in the home or quarantine for weeks and spend their hole day inside their house. However, thanks to the community's will, we were able to fight back COVID and coming back to our daily life as today
