Andy Kim has a strong likelihood to win this race due to a few factors. The first being, New Jersey has voted Democratic since 1972 and won by double digits since 2006. Not to mention, Kim currently has an 18-point lead. Therefore, you can conclude there is a larger percentage of Democratic voters. This indication allows us to understand that citizens favor Kim more than Bashaw.

Curtis Bashaw's chances of winning this race is relatively low due to a few factors: he has less funds, name recognition and campaign infrastructure. Compared to Kim, he lacks connections and resources to market his campaign to a larger number of voters. Also, in the state of New Jersey, the demographic makeup is very democratic with the overall percentage being 25.3% Democratic and 19.5% Republican. This makes it harder for Bashaw to appeal to the citizens in New Jersey.
