The park was a project realized by old major Virgílio Galassi,that would possess a forest reserve,a zoo,a stadium and a playground. The park possess an  area of 1.8 milion meters squares and a woodland with 350 thounsand meters squares. The park arrives to receive 10 thounsand visitors in one day; this number increases on saturdays and mondays arriving in 25 thounsand visitors.

The park has several attractions like:a hiking trail of 5.100 meters of extension,seven camps of football with diferent measures,five sports courts,a playground,and others installations. Besides having several events. There also present the reservoir.

And it's main intension was to preserve the fauna and to disclose the importance of preserving the environment.
