I would like to recognize Sam Barrett, for donating his time and talents to our Falcon Soccer and Basketball teams as an Announcer. Sam continuously steps up to be the voice of the Men's Falcon Soccer team as well as the women's soccer and basketball teams when we need him! Sam brings life to our events, making them special and memorable for our Woodinville Athletes and Families. Thank you, Sam, for being a part of our Falcon Family!

Women’s Basketball:

• Melissa Benton-   Melissa better known as Mel is a Woodinville alum and former collegiate basketball All-American.   She has been a volunteer assistant coach for five years now.  She is also now the mother of three and absolutely incredible with her commitment and impact at home as well with the girls on our team.  She is the defenisive specialist and the true coach behind the Lady Falcons.   Melissa and her husband Tim have been so generous with their time and energy for our Woodinville girls.

• Joleen Eggers - Joleen has been our volunteer booster club president these last four years. Her dedication and energy have been relentless.   The girls call her Jo and absolutely love what she offers our team and basketball program.     She lives here in Woodinville with husband Jeremy and daughters Jaela, Jaecy, and Jaemie.  Joleen does everything behind the scenes to make our basketball team successful.

• Molly Matthews for being out new fastpitch FAB representative, helping collect sponsorships and great fundraising opportunities and advocating for our team and program. 

• The volunteer Assistant Coaches Brain Bero, Lee Ford, and Kaaren Hatlen. Thank you for all the work you are putting in at practice, along with the care and consideration you show to all the athletes in the program. 

• All WHS Fastpitch parents that have helped with and hosting team dinners, field clean up, score keeping, little league events, seniors' items and many hours of your time. Woodinville fastpitch is so lucky to have such willing helpers for all of the tasks at hand. Thank you!

• Ishita Agarwal was the boys team manager. Ishita did an awesome job helping no only me the coach, also the entire team. She motivates the player at practice and matches. Ishita would work with the team on skill development. She was a great asset to the boy tennis team.

Main Office/Counseling Office:

Thank you to our wonderful Copy Brigade volunteers. All the staff at WHS truly appreciate the invaluable services you have provided through our in-house printing program! This includes the countless copies made and laminating projects supported, as well as organizing our Main Office Work Room and providing office support to numerous other projects. These ladies are amazing and we appreciate all of them greatly! Thank you to Bukky Akintobi, Maria Burac, Stephanie Hennessy, and Terri Kashi!

Speech and Debate Team:

The Speech and Debate club requires many volunteers over the course of our competition season to help us with judging at tournaments. Without volunteer judges, we would not be able to enter as many students into tournaments. The hours are long, the volunteers have to learn and be trained in the events they are judging, and they often have to drive an hour to get to the school site where the tournament is being held. We are so grateful for everyone who volunteered to help us this season. THANK YOU!

Performing Arts Department:

Our Boosters provide an incredible amount of support for our students and the department. They volunteer their time to help with ticket sales and selling concessions at our shows, and they raise a huge amount of money to help us bring in guest artists, providing scholarships for students to attend events, and purchasing theater supplies and technology (lighting and sound equipment, tools, etc.). They are led by an incredible group of volunteers on our Booster Board, and they are who I am recognizing for their countless hours working on theatrical events and financial support for the work of the department.

Emergency Cert:

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated volunteers who have generously shared their expertise and time with our Emergency Cert class:

• Celso Rangel – Washington State CERT Coordinator. Celso visited our CERT classes, taught Stop the Bleed, and provided ongoing guidance and support for the CERT program. His involvement gives students firsthand exposure to professional emergency preparedness practices.

• Audrey Hoen – King County Office of Emergency Management. Audrey presented to students on local hazards, emergency planning, and the importance of go-bags. Her session gave students critical real-world context for understanding disaster preparedness.

• Tricia Parker – Bothell CERT. Tricia has supported our CERT program for six years, assisting with classroom instruction and hands-on simulations. Her experience and mentorship have greatly enhanced the quality of student learning.

• Lanea Miller – CERT volunteer. Lanea assists with our simulations, helping to ensure realistic scenarios and student engagement during hands-on exercises.

• Laurell Sprague – South County Fire. Laurell taught the CERT class and provided moulage for the Halloween medical unit, helping students practice realistic medical scenarios in a safe learning environment.

• Pat Ducey, Kevin Lowery, Lisa Oshiro, David Chou, Katrina Rose – NEMCO volunteers. This team supports our simulations, including providing live fire for training exercises. Their contributions make our simulations much more realistic and immersive for students.

• Pete Stumpel and Ron Hanson – Managed drones during events, helping map crucial egress points for our drills.

• Tom Petersen – Taught ACT (Antidote, CPR, Tourniquet) training for CERT classes, giving students critical knowledge and practical skills for emergency situations.
