As I wanted to start gathering more information and know more about the connection between gender and fashion I decided to start reading multiple online articles about that.
By reading this one I could learn more about how in the past, especially in Ancient Rome, men and women would wear basically the same stuff. It did not surprise me tho how Western Society was basically the one who decided to assign specific genders to fashion. I believe many of our problems today within society really are because of us, as in we have created them ourselves sort of. It is the same thing with colours, where pink is for girls and blue is for men. As in with toys, girls are only allowed to play with Barbie and boys should play with cars, superheroes and monsters.

Skirts for example have been on the runway worn by men as well quite a lot in recent seasons, as it should be. Also satin and floral motifs have been used too to sort of soften this idea of toxic masculinity. 

By looking around me I also noticed how more men have started using more bags that perhaps remind of a woman's bag, which is usually definitely item "thought" for women. Even though I truly think it makes no sense, cause a bag is a bag, I need to carry stuff in it to make my life easier I do no care what kind of bag is, if it is for women or men!!!

While reading this article to understand better what differentiates people in their shopping habits I could not immediately notice how it only talked about men and women, without considering it for a second non binary people for example. 

It was definitely quite interesting digging more into the psychological point of view that stands behind why, how, and where men and women shop accordingly to their needs, even though in my opinion it really only talked about what is considered sort of mainstream, as it is the absolute truth, while I am sure there are many other factors, all depending on the actual individual instead of the whole collective.

As I wanted to create my survey and dedicate my whole report to young queer people I started my research and gathering of information by reading this very interesting and iconic article about London's Queer Club Kids. 

First of all I have to admit how the visuals are so good that I got obsessed immediately. Apart from that it was very interesting to sort of take a look at how these people are surely not afraid to experiment with their identity through art and this case fashion.
