I think that it helped me to remember the many different areas of my life and how the different experiences I have had have shaped me to become the person I am today. The social comparison hasn't really changed my self conceptualization. I have always been "out of the Loop" on current trends and interest, and that is something I am totally okay with. I would say that my identity is pretty consistent throughout the facets of my life, however, I do have to manage different roles and responsibilities. I must manage the role of training in becoming a pilot, the role of a mentor, the role of a son for my parents, and more.
