The Giving Tree is about a boy and a tree in the forest. The boy uses the tree for everything, and the tree enjoys because he loves the boy. When the tree’s apples, branches, and trunk are all taken by the boy for money and to make things with, the tree is no longer happy. He is lonely and has nothing more to give. In the end, the tree is happy when the boy comes back to the tree as an old man and doesn’t want anything anymore, just the comfort of the tree.
