Parks, one day, decided that she would sit in the front of the bus rather than in the back where the African American's sat. She was arrested for her courageous action and continued to face her fears and those of African American's after her arrest. Rosa was a great woman and this book was written in memory of her 50 years after she refused to give up her seat in the front of the bus in Montgomery, Alabama.
