I chose a picture of this young tree, because to me it symbolizes hope and new life. Plants are amazing organisms for society and the environment. We would be nowhere without plants. They give us oxygen to breath and are used for resources in our daily lives. The environment thrives on plants. Whether you're a creature that eats plants or eats another creature that consumes plants, their importance cannot be denied. From the time trees are as small as this one to the time they are giant wonders, they should be celebrated for their significant role in our world.
https://in.c.mi.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1512354&aid=3229070&from=album&page=1

Crash Course is my favorite source for trying to understand science. I am a visual and active learner. Their graphics help me to see and better understand the concepts they are teaching about and Hank Green's humor helps keep me engaged throughout the video. This video covers everything from water and carbon, to light dependent and independent reactions, and even a brief history of RiBisCo.

I think the rain forest is in most danger of ecological change. People are constantly talking about the dangers of deforestation. Considering that most of our oxygen comes from rain forests, we should be doing the most to save these environments. Typically, we do not plant as many trees as we destroy.

One impact of plant domestication is an increase in human population. With plant domestication, humans are able to stay in one place as opposed to continuously migrating. Due to this, humans have more time and ability to reproduce and more reliable food sources to keep them alive.

Transportation and trade of crops helped to create a global society. Trade allowed different groups of people to interact and adopt new crops. This brought different civilizations together and lessened the divide between them. Instead of separate groups having their own specific crops, these crops were being switched out and made more accessible.

What I think of the future if there are no sustainability efforts is that pollution and resource usage will continue to sky rocket until our planet is littered to the max. This photo made me think of what that might do to the planet. Our lush, green environment would be destroyed. We would have filthy air and water, leaving the Earth looking lifeless and barren.
