But prior to the beginning of the free trial set on June 22 until 24 of 2022, Teacher Gerby instructed Teacher Grace to provide basic demonstration how the preliminaries and practices in the preschool class works. This was the time we were introduced to the mats, red bean bag and red line used in circle time which honestly was the first time I encountered in my teaching experience. We were not properly introduced during our college journey about the details of the Montessori way of teaching that is why we were not familiar with it. The class was held by teacher Bernadette and I was her assistant. The first day of our class was conducted only for introduction to give us time to get to know our learners, likewise between the learners. We have three girls and a boy for our first-day free trial. All the girls already formed their friendship and engages in every activity Teacher Bernadette presents to them. While on the other hand, the only boy in our class was too overwhelmed by the learning material and refuses to join us in our activities since it was his first time to be in a school, and he was not used to socializing with other learners, because according to her mother he was the only child in the house and the only socialization he has was with his grandparents and has a lot of exposure to gadgets. Throughout our training and trial Teacher Gerby was very consistent on reminders and checking our status and progress. Every corrections she gave us served as our guide to gradually improve our knowledge and skills in handling the preschool through Montessori, as well as our head Teacher Grace for giving us tips and sharing her past experiences that could help us manage our class. We were also able to manage the behavior of the learners and eventually formed the bond not just between the learners but between us teachers and the learners. The way they show their appreciation by even sharing their toys to us like they have created a special soup using the vegetable toys and telling us they have prepared it for us was such a sweet gestures which touches our heart, the way they call us "teacher" means a lot, and lastly, the way they hold our hands and asking questions or they just want to hold us gives us a feeling we cannot explain and touches our emotions that much which gives me the motivation to continue despite the challenges teaching gives us was worth surpassing.]]> 2022-06-28 12:05:18 UTC https://padlet.com/sherylynalexander1127/tyfeffanisdcacd8/wish/2232404425
