In chapter twenty of “Schooled” A pep rally comes up and Cap is tricked into something he wouldn’t do. First, classes were canceled for the football game. Hugh approaches Cap and explains what a pep rally was. Next, Hugh takes Cap into the opposing team’s locker room and changes him into their uniform to make it look like his is on their team. Then, Hugh starts to seem slightly upset with what he is doing and Cap notices this and tries to confront him about it but Hugh just brushes him off. Finally, Hugh tells Cap to go out in the field. Cap notices that he was getting booed and that he was wearing the opposing team’s jacket just as the people in his school started towards him

The pep rally has arrived and Cap does was tricked into doing something he usually wouldn't. First, the school canceled educational classes for a football game. Hugh has to explain to Cap what a pep rally really is.Then, Hugh sabotages Cap by taking him in to the opposing teams' locker room and changing him into their jerseys so everybody would think he is against his own team. Towards the end, Hugh felt bad about what he did but ended up not doing anything about it. Later on, Cap went onto the middle of the field in front of everyone and got booed off for wearing another jersey. With everything happening, Hugh is getting jealous of Cap.

Cap can’t remember when he stopped keeping track of names. He had seen mostly everyone by now and just looking at a picture he recognized each person. He admits that growing up with one person to meeting hundreds was intimidating, yet wonderful. He was trilled that he could make Sophie happy about her bracelet, even if he wouldn’t take credit for it. Cap thinks that Mr. Kasigi is going to be impressed how he is using money. Hugh tells Cap that he is going to be cheering on the team, but is only part of his revenge plan and sends him out in the other team’s jersey.

In Chapter 20, Cap is excited that he is beginning to learn more and more names and it's all because of the year books that Mrs. Donnelly has collected over the years. Cap goes to school and learns that there is a pep rally so they got out of class for two periods. Hugh makes Cap go into the boys locker room and makes him change into their schools spirit team colors to show support, but Hugh gets his revenge by putting on a shirt with the other team's colors and now supporting the rivals team, unawaringly

Next, Cap and Sophie don’t want to watch T&T because it has reruns or repetitions. Then, Cap needs more checks from Mr. Kasigi and Hugh explains to Cap how pep rally’s go in football at C Average for two hours. Finally, Cap goes out in the football field and cheers for his team in a the other team's jersey; yellow and a word Rhinecliff.
