Frank is an 8 year old third grade student. He is academically average in all areas with the exception of being potentially a little below average in reading. He struggles in music class. It is hypothesized that he engages in problem behavior that includes failing to follow directions by covering his ears, putting his head down, and requesting to use the restroom in order to escape participating in whole group music activities.

Yes. His music teacher has allowed him to utilize one break per class period. She has changed the location of his seat. She allows him to put his head down or cover his ears while his classmates are singing. Noise-cancelling headphones have been offered, but Frank has yet to use them.
