One of the themes is that human beings have the power to be destroyers of peace or peace makers. We see this when Hitler is segregating people and hurting them because they were Jewish. A way humans can be peace makers is how so many people went to the aid of these people when they had the chance. Still in our world today we see how people are risking their lives to help save the lives of innocent people and how people still see people as unequal because they are different.

I think one of the themes for the Book Thief could be that the world can be a VERY bad place but some people can shine through the darkness of the world and help others in need. like when Liesel gave bread to the Jews on there way to the camp.

One of the themes in this book is that there are always bad people in the world, but the good people always stand out. Even if you have already done bad things there is always a way to stand out by doing good thing and to stay strong. For Example, Liesel did bad things (she stool) but she always stayed strong, cared for others, and never let go to her dream.

I think that one of the themes in the book is how your actions good or bad will have consequences. For example when Hans Hubberman gave a piece of bread to a Jew who was walking to a concentration camp, he was later punished for his generosity.

Liesel's family was one of them. Even though everyone is mean to Jew's liesel's family protected Max.

One of the themes I see in the book thief is the effect of giving back even if it may have some setbacks or consequences. For example; how Rosa and Hans both took Liesel in, After her rough experience, helped her and treated her with care. Even though they didn't have much money. As well as, when her and Rudy decided to give the bread to the Jews even though they knew it was dangerous and they could get in trouble.
