I love the layering of organic accidental splotches of various mystery materials building up an almost pale chest of texture. Under this we have these uniformed tiles with once clear boarders which are now broken by overlaying textures. It was a dark quiet space which focused the viewers attention onto the luminosity of the screens and the sound of the projectors running the strips of film round and round. Each screen displayed clips of artwork in gallery storage, hidden away from the world. Paintings sealed away in cages designed to contain them. Sculptures left lying around on shelves waiting like lost toys the way Barbra filmed them felt like she had intended to portray them in this way, alive but never moving from their place.

I didnt know there was such an expansive collection of works that are kept hidden for years only displayed when felt relive the to the times, i enjoyed being able to see these snippets of work and wonder when will they be seen again?

It makes you wonder why are these here? What were they leading to? How did you get to them? Why were they sealed off? Although these were not intended as artworks but just part of a structure that became obsolete these traces of change peak my interest and leave me speculating what could have been. We were the asked to think of words that we associated with our walk and then draw a map of our walk in response. I admit i got so engroced in trying to figure out the landscape of the area i forgot to focus on my associated words, however i am happy with my map.

We then pieced all of our maps together on the wall discussing the best layout and moving things around for a while until we had agreed on a composition. I enjoyed the unknown of this series of tasks which led to a very interesting outcome.
