I think that comparing yourself to your peers shows you what is different about you in comparison to your peers. Feminine, Liberal, Christian, and Young Adult are all reference groups that are important to me because they help shape my identity. I think that I sometimes dress and act how I want others to perceive me. I think that I consciously consider how others would think of me when considering how I act and dress in public. I identify as a female, young adult, liberal, and Christian. Sometimes it's hard juggling different identities because it feels like people have to place you in one group or another. For example, I'm a Political Science major, and I'm very passionately liberal about politics, but I am also Christian, and that's also very important to me. There are conservative Christians who claim that it's impossible to be a liberal Christian. They try to create separation between the two identities which can be difficult at times because I feel like I need to identify both at the same time, so people don't have preconceived ideas about me. I also like to dress in the grunge aesthetic a lot, but I am also a very compassionate person, which is slightly contradicting again, so sometimes it's hard to convey all sides of my identity at once.
