I love how in every class, I get this told by my professors. It really isn't good to be creating a bias on students since once that happens, it limits your perspective on what their potential is. It is crazy to be in schools and how I hear teachers talk about students and it really sucks. Getting to know your student will create trust between you and the students and to the family. It also gives some insight on lessons you can create to include those students and engage them.

Lastly, it is very important to research if you don't know how to help a student. This includes reaching out to other faculty in the school for advice, talking to the parents, and experts.
