From birth to 12 years old, Victor was living in the jungle. From infancy aspect, we do not see any cognitive development as it not seen from the video.

However, language association is taught such as 'milk' and 'oh god', which are just single syllable (probably based on what he heard). At the age of 12, typical child should be able to express and string words into sentences.

He is able to react to the current environment/mood/feeling and respond in an emphathatic manner when the caregiver was feeling sad on the passing of her huaband. Based on the secure attachment theory, probably Victor sees the caregiver 24/7 and thus able to sense and understand the feeling of the caregiver when she is feeling sad.

Although this boy has no language and is unable to speak, he is able to empathise with the housekeeper. Does this mean he also observes this behaviour in nature? Seems like language is harder to pick up but empathy for others is universal.

He may have trouble socialising with people beyond his close circle (housekeeper). According to Piaget, at that infancy skills, they’re at the trust versus mistrust stage and thus this may have affect their socialisation with other people.

Before he was captured, he grew up in the woods. So he need to learn how to survive in the wild like hunt for food, shelter and survive under extreme weather conditions like learn to climb around (i.e., to be more agile). So because of that his gross motor skills (e.g., better motor coordination, spatial awareness and balance) would be more developed than his fine motor skills.

Furthermore, as he is living in the wild, he is likely to have observed how wild animals like monkeys look for food and move. So this further allows him to model after the wild animals through social learning (e.g., significant adult in zone of proximal development). However, this might also contributed to him developing posture that affect his overall physical appearance (e.g. slouching more like what animals do).
