The  Nazis would deliberately lower the quality or speed of their work or even by sabotage. This kept some of their Jewish culture. They also kept diaries that told about their lives in the Ghettos and what was happening. Young  Jews would escape from the Ghettos into the forests and then would join the Soviet Partisan units and then harass the German occupiers. Jews that were living in the Warsaw ghetto had a armed revolt after getting news that Germans were going to deport any of the remaining Jews in the ghetto. After getting out of the ghettos the Jews would join and help partisan units fight the Germans. When escaping the ghettos not many would be successful but some still tried to escape, so in order to escape weapons had to smuggled in. Hundreds of Jews fought against the Germans and was known as the largest single revolt by Jewish people. Jews were forced to leave after Germans had burned the ghetto to the ground.
