In Jaurez, there were many femicides happening because of sexism. There were young woman who worked in American owned factories in Mexico and they were killed brutally. It seemed like the deaths of these young women aren't random, they seem to follow a pattern, this suggests that they may have been selected. The cause of these femicides were likely because of the organized crime and drug trafficking activities in Jaurez.

I mostly feel sad about the femicides that happened in Jaurez because I don't think that people shouldn't be treated like trash only because they are women. These women are still young and they still have a bright future in front of them. I wonder why these women have to be brutally killed, why can't they just kill them without like making their corpse look bad?

There are tons of people in several different countries, suffering, and getting murdered. The country, Taiwan, where I lived and was born, was considered safe. I felt fortunate. I visited other countries too, but still, I had never felt danger in my life. I will say that I was lucky because I was not kidnapped or murdered when traveling around. Thank god for the miracle of not getting kidnapped is what I felt after knowing about a brutal genocide, the femicide in Juarez. The murderers dehumanized the women victims during the murder. The women were strangled, stabbed, and shot, somehow to achieve a kind of sexual effect. This is out of mind.

The femicide in Juarez consists of a large amount of young women found dead in mass graves on the border of Mexico. The women were brutally killed with the killer’s intention of dehumanizing them. The potential causes of this femicide are the drug cartel, sexism(machismo), and maquiladoras. The murder continued for almost 20 years between 1993 and 2011.

This podcast made me feel angry and sad. I can’t imagine the fear that the women in Juarez live in. I feel angry towards the serial killer who abused human rights and the government which didn’t investigate thoroughly and quickly. If the government had looked into it seriously, the following murders could have been prevented and there wouldn’t have been more graves discovered.

I wondered what is the intention of the killer and how the disadvantaged women in Juarez protect themselves.

I feel that I am very lucky. I have also been to many other foreign countries and they had strict laws to ensure the safety of citizens and visitors. After learning about the horrible femicide in Juarez from the podcast, I was more grateful for not being kidnapped or murdered on the streets. The inhumane people did not treat the females like people.

They were tied up, beaten, and killed in a brutal way to fulfill their psychotic pleasure. This is definitely unacceptable in modern society.

The femicide situation in Juarez has been continuous for the last 20 years between 1993 and 2011. It involves the deaths of multiple young women on the border of Mexico near Texas. Some potential causes of this problem include drug cartels and cartel wars, sexism, where men are ranked higher than women, etc. The situation has involved mass genocides with the death of hundreds of women.

This podcast makes me feel sad and disappointed. The large murders in Juarez have been a huge problem for a long period, without any solutions. This means the government isn't taking action to stop this problem from growing. In addition, the problem could have easily been prevented if people had better living conditions, which makes me feel sad. I wonder why people treat women this way and how this tradition started.

It’s sad to hear about the situation at Juarez, I hate to see that women that are so young died because of forced labor. And these women also must faced death, raped, etc and it is unbelievable to know that how these places are so dangerous, but people from around the world still doesn’t know about this. These women suffer a lot during their labor. They might get killed after a few days. After their bodies just get thrown away into a deserted place.

I hate to see any human must go through this. It is very sad and tragic. And mostly those women. They suffer the most but men as well . In some countries many people desperately needed jobs for themself or family. And these “jobs” are mostly the reason why these tragic things happen. It’s so sad that people that are young need to go trough this. Not everyone should be done like this.

In the podcast The Women in Juarez, the man said that many women from somewhere in Mexico have gone missing in the city. They are all been trafficked, kidnapped, or even get killed, they were raped and mutilated, and their bodies dumped in the desert. According to the podcast, the victims usually hold the same types of jobs, such as students or factory workers. The murders are usually close to the female, like husband or former intimate partners, and these are because of the drug trade and violent things that are going on.

After listening to part of this podcast, I feel very upset about those victims and murders. According to the article, it said that the murderers won't even hide the dead bodies and just leave them out; I think this situation shows that women do not have respect for others. Also, I believe and hope that people there can be more serious about this topic because it's a really big problem in Mexico.

And the common on those women is that they are all from poor family, and work at the side of America and Mexico. They were being that because of sexisms. And it continued for around 20 years.

This podcast makes me feel angry and thankful. I’m so angry of why they killed people so easily and didn’t they feel guilty. l’m thankful for I am living in Taiwan, one of the most save place in the world, that me live comfortable and didn’t need to worry a lot. I also curious how did they get the thought of sexism come from, I think sexism maybe is part of their society, is hard to be ignored, so I’m thinking of are those crime really know how serious being femicited.
