Google Earth Engine- difficult to figure out how to view the data sets in on the map. In other applications such as GLOBE Observer, and NASA WorldView I have been able to explore data sets and current observations. It’s really neat to look at changes over time with Landsat data especially in recent disturbance areas.

NASA Sea Level and NOAA’s tool are much easier to use. Living in Colorado we continue to wonder how many climate refugees will continue to move here due to unstable sea levels.

FIRMS - found today’s fire on the map that closed I-70; yet the data table needs a bit more explanation to make it useful. INCIWeb is easier to use.

Images of Change are incredibly cool… it would be awesome to have images of places my audience is familiar with (e.g. where we live). The Colorado River delta is pretty amazing. NASA satellite imagery is so spectacular… sometimes even beautiful

While tools like this are super cool, they are not very effective in place-based public land interpretation outdoors. I really want to see ETS offer and support strategies for outdoor, very short duration (15-30 minute engagements) climate change education in the bright sun…

I am thinking about a building a mini-workshop for youth climate leaders from across rural Colorado that utilizes NASA data as well as a climate cafe and a tips for stronger climate communication using framing strategies from NNOCCI.

Yet it could all change… that’s just my idea for now 😊

are there any simple instructions on how to use FIRMS... how to use all the variety of layers... there is so much there yet we don't necessarily know what all the options mean

I thought that the ARSET training was super interesting, I did not now anything about sensors or satellites, so this gave me a better understanding of how NASA collects some data.

The Context for climate change was a good refresher course, and I like how it made it clear that the reasons climate change is a global issue is because even though things are on different scales, everything is linked. Climate change can't be "spot-treated."

I am very excited to use this in some of my environmental education work. I often focus on multisensory approach to learning and the before and after visualization of this tool is incredible.
