I loved ''Junie B. Jones'' by Barbara Park. I read the entire series, which is my first chapter book series to read and finish. I also loved ''Magic Tree House'' by Mary Pope Osburne

5th grade

My love for fantasy books was founded in 5th grade, the year I read "Harry Potter" by JK Rowling and " A Series of Unfortunate Events" by Lemony Snicket. These books also gave me a sense of belonging as I bonded with peers and classmates over them.

I finished Suzanne Collins's Gregor the Overlander series in less than a week. However, the final book let me down. I became so deeply invested in the series that I still remember the unhappiness and sadness I felt after I read it. This event in my reading journey made me realize how impactful literature can be.

My mom enrolled my family in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. One month, I received ''Charlotte's Web'' by EB White in the mail, and I loved it. I would read it over and over again. This book showed me the beauty of friendships and sacrifice.

I started babysitting my neighbor's 3-year-old. I would go to the library and pick out books to read to her. This was very exciting and reignited my love for books. She loved ''Knuffle Bunny'' by Mo Williams which is a book I enjoyed as a kid too!
