My name is Lesley Gutierrez. I was born and raised in Texas (DFW area) and I still live here today. I live with my husband and our dog named 'Chata'.


I am currently pursuing an MBA- Human Resources Management degree, but I received my Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders here at TWU. Although it is different from what I am doing now, I worked as a Talent Acquisition Specialist and behavior technician before becoming a Speech Therapist assistant which helped me get here.

I started baking after I got married and I am slowly learning new recipes. I also enjoy taking my dog for a walk with my husband. We try to do this daily and it is my favorite part of the day.

  • I never fully learned how to ride a bike because I had an accident and stopped practicing. Now I am hoping my husband teaches me!

Perhaps the closest thing was Economics in high school (10 years ago). I would like to gain a better understanding about the foundations of business so that I can apply it in my career. I would also like to use the knowledge I gain in this course to hopefully help expand the family business.
