What is Animal Welfare?? I explain to easier.

It is「Animals must be able to engage in their natural behaviors from birth to death and be happy.」Animal welfare is many have issues for all over the world. Japan has a little slower start on this issue compare to other countries. UK, US and other countries gets to work quickly, and each person is aware.

How can this issue be better improved?

First, the standards are different in each country, so opinions on what’s “good” for animals vary a lot.

Also, creating a comfortable environment costs money, which makes it hard to balance with production efficiency.

Another issue is that many consumers aren’t very aware of animal welfare yet, and in some countries, the laws and monitoring systems are still weak.

Improving animal welfare costs a lot of money and time.

Farmers need to give animals more space, better food, and cleaner living conditions.

For small farmers, these changes can be very hard and expensive.

They also need to make enough profit to live, so finding a balance between business and animal care is not easy.

However, I think society should help farmers who try to treat animals better.

If we all work together, we can make both animals and farmers happy.

Goal 12, "Responsible Consumption and Production," relates to ethical responsibility in production processes. Goals 14, "Life Below Water," and 15, "Life on Land," aim to protect biodiversity, including animals.

Furthermore, since intensive livestock farming is predicated on mass production, mass consumption, and mass disposal, it relates to Goal 2: Zero Hunger. Treating animals as objects without consideration for animal welfare causes psychological harm to workers, linking it to Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
