Know: This week I have learnt how to reflect and improve my work by going back and checking to make sure everything is correct, neat and also clear. I have also learnt how to help other people out with using photoshop and tasks. How to be more comfortable / overcome my confidence in front of a camera.

Do: My new skills I have developed throughout this week:
Finishing all my work on time, resubmitting work that needed to be improved.
For my task 3 there was a barrier when I submitted the work that it did not allow Karl to look at my work as I forgot to make my work public so I had to re update it so Karl can look at it then give me my grade for this term.
The main task I am proud of is task 5 where we got to go around the college and find the formal elements and take pictures of them then taking them over to photoshop to make that element stand out more by using the contrast, saturation, brightness tools.

Show: I presented my photography work by planning where I am going to go and the cost for travel. Also the equipment I am going to use and why I am going to use that equipment

Improve: For my next session I need to add more description to certain parts of my work (Pre-production task, Formal elements padlet page as I know a lot more about the 4 formal elements) to check my work more than once to be certain that I have done the work correctly. Improve my presentation more by adding in my contact sheets, Screenshot my tasks that I think I did well in. Know: Throughout the week I have learnt how to create a contactsheet on photoshop. I have also learnt how to identify the 4 formal elements (Line, Texture, Shape, Colour) in chosen pictures and make them stand out more using the tools in photoshop that are: saturation, Contrast, and the polygonal tool.

Know: The skill I have learnt this week is how to plan and organise a photoshoot properly and think more on the less important parts. Such as cost to get to a certain location and borrowing equipment. The proposal task was personally challenging for me. The photoshoot task is more complicated than I thought it would be. I thought you wouldn't have to plan it, I just thought you grab the equipment you need to use and start taking pictures of the 4 elements.

Improve: For my next session add more description to what I am talking about and make it more neat and a clearer I will also go back and read my word and check with people around me / teachers to make sure I have done the work right. Know: What helped me understand was when Carl demonstrating how to use a Tripod, DSLR Camera and Photoshop. As it helps understand the equipment a lot more. And he also asks people for any questions or if they are confused with something. Carl does this so people can be on the same level for knowing something.

Do: The new skills I have learnt is how to set up a tripod properly and how to place a DSLR camera on to the tripod mount and also how to use a DSLR camera, I have also learnt new tools on photoshop and how to use those tools properly and understanding that tools. I have video proof of me teaching the viewer how to use a Tripod. This can be used as evidence that I have done the work I was told to do.

Show: I had to change 1 photo to black and white, Then I had to increase the saturation on a different photo. And also increase the contrast on a different photo. These settings have to be set on pictures that I have taken myself and also separate pictures so you can show that you can use Photoshop.

Improve: I need to be educated more on how to use a camera professionally and to learn the differences between each tripod. Such as a photography Tripod and a Video Tripod and how to use both of them a lot better and where to place the tripod to get the best angle to make the pictures look a lot better. The skill I have learnt is how to use a camera more.

Line: I have learnt the how to Identify lines in a picture and I have also found out how the line meets another line in a different position and that the line is the same size even if it does not look it.

Texture: I am beginning to learn how textures in images make the picture more inspiring to look at. And why photographers make the camera focus on the textures.

Shape: I am beginning to learn how to tell shapes in a picture and why they are placed in that certain position and also why the camera angle is placed in that position.

Colour: I have learnt how to tell colour in a picture and why the photographer / editor has picked that colour and why it makes that certain object stand out more than everything else in the picture.

Do:
The equipment I have used is my iphone camera to take the pictures to make it look similar to the image I have chosen. 

Locations: Outside canteen along the building, Outside of K block where the pink flowers are. Outside canteen again but further down where the pink / Red paint has been spilt.

•Do: What new skills did you apply, how did you complete the task, were there any barriers and evidence your successful outcomes? What did you do that you are proud of? 
- One of the skills I have applied is selecting Inspiring images and talking about them in depth. I completed this task by selecting a image I liked and writing about it and explaining why I had picked the image and also selecting certain parts of the image. Evidence is on padlet.
- The other skill I have learnt is explaining the 4 elements clearly.
