What effects did the pollution have on the humans/environment. How was the pollution cleaned up? Are there long term effects? Not a huge effect, far out in the sea. It was cleaned up with oil skimmers and barrier. There are some permanent environmental damage.

Mining chemicals caused serious health risks to people in that area, engineers have been separating the water and chemicals for a while now. There will be residual chemicals in the water bodies affected.
