         <description><![CDATA[<div>Children enter the wood and are whilst sitting quietly, listening to the sounds they can hear, noting the different directions they may be coming from, the different layers of sounds or how the sounds vary with their pitch; they record their hearings via writing, drawing or associating it with how it makes them feel.<br><br>Sometimes we just sit and listen together, trying hard to identify the different bird songs filtering down through the trees.<br><br>Often the children will have spotted, identified or collected something as they cross the field that starts our discussion once we're sat down.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Year 6 had their initial session reconnecting to the wood; exploring it through a scavenger hunt for different leaves, sorting them into groups with and different characteristics and creating leaf rubbings which they labelled with information they gathered from the ID sheets available.&nbsp; Some explored the wood further finding sticks they created into fishing rods, bows or ornaments and we discussed the following sessions and what they would like to do and create over our four weeks in the wood. &nbsp;The initial plan evolved over the four weeks within each of the six groups within Year 6 so it looks slightly different.  The details below are for each of the groups to demonstrate this, with annotations make each week shown in different colours.  </div>]]></description>
