You do see some of what you have been given, but thankfulness doesn’t seem like a regular experience for you. Perhaps you feel undeserving of the gifts coming your way, such as the beauty of a rose or the natural deliciousness of an apple, or the helpfulness of others. You might have gotten caught up in the problems in your life or in the world and been overlooking the other part of the truth, the things that are bountiful, supportive, and inspiring. It could be helpful to deliberately look for things given to you – including many that no one could possibly buy or earn – and then deliberately open to and take in experiences of gratitude.
