I have been practicing the song 505 for a little it's a very nice and basic song that only has EM and DM as the two chords there could also be other ways to play this song with bar chords, but I decided to go easy for now. The padlet video doesn't let me go on for over 2 minutes, but I'm still learning the strumming pattern, and I'm playing at the normal speed

Criteria A Blues Investigation

The Blues is a type of old classical music of American Music, the music is groovy and jazzy.
The blues was from the Mississippi Delta and moved to Memphis
The blues have a specific type of rhythm and the scale they use is not the one that we are used to it's tweaked called the panatonic scale which gives it a little and that special boozy classy vibes.

On guitar, they use a technique called a bottleneck slide, which is when they use their finger to change frets without taking their finger off the guitar, giving it a smooth transition sound.

The blues use a chord repetition which is called the "AABB" Pattern which somehow makes it jazzy.

I think the bridge and pre-chorus were pretty nice since the recording on the YouTube video sounded distorted but in person, the guitar, singers, and the bass were nice because I think we were playing like the actual song and it just sounded nice. If I can do something next time I would take my time to play the chords because either I or one of the other guitarists messed up in the middle of the performance we messed up the chords so next time I think I'll take my time.

I have improved a lot on transitioning to another chord and playing more efficiently so there aren't that many pauses. I learned that from the performance everyone needs to cooperate and if we don't play in unison then it won't sound good, for example during the chorus not everyone was playing on the right note and time so it technically did not sound bad but it sounded weird.

The sucess is I understand the chords and one challenge is the strumming and chord chnage time its 1 2 and change chords which is a little difficult but I will be able to play this overtime with more practice.

Samba In Brazil (Criteria A)

In the favelas it was a quiet and dark place samba was like a music bubble where it created a hub and brang everyone together. Samba has a upbeat tempo always in major keys and its always a 2/4 or 4/4 beat. In samba there isnt a structure and it is up to the bandleader to decide how the music goes. I think samba does bring hope to Rio de Janeiro because the place is quite dark and dangerous but with high pitch tones and brightening sounds makes the flow happy and positive. Do people in brazil only listen to samba?
