Their natural prey are blue sheep and ibex, along with domestic animals.
Snow leopards also closely related to the tiger, but with only less than 65,000 in the wild currently.
Farmers near where these leopards reside figured that it would be better to shoot the ones which caused problems to their animals, as well as the poaching of the snow leopards continues, leading to the nearly extinction of them. 
Ways to protect the snow leopards:
+ Forbid the poaching of leopards in general
+ Build fences/walls around the farm so that farmers would not have to kill the leopards.

+ Spread the word: Tell others that the tigers and their habitat are under threat and that they need our help.
+ Reducing pressure on natural resources.
+ Reduce human-tiger conflict.
+ Promote tiger-friendly policies.
