         <description><![CDATA[<p>A cut or tear in the skin that can be deep or shallow. Often caused by a sharp object, edges are usually jagged.</p><p><strong>Initial Care:</strong> First, you have to stop the bleeding with direct pressure for 5-10 minutes, then clean with water and soap.</p><p><strong>Post Care:</strong> Cover with a bandage; if the cut is deep or is on the face/over a joint, a doctor is needed, and you might need stitches.</p>]]></description>

These wounds may not bleed from the outside, but can be very serious.</p><p><strong>Initial Care:</strong> First, stop the bleeding by applying light pressure; make sure not to remove the object in the wound, and call for help immediately. </p><p><strong>Post Care:</strong> Cover the wound with a bandage and seek medical help. Stitches are usually not needed because they trap germs inside.</p>]]></description>

For small incisions, medical attention is not needed, but for deeper incisions, medical attention is needed and needs to be closed with stitches.</p>]]></description>
