Religion in Sumer had many different aspects. First they claimed that their king was chosen by the god. Also their whole live revolved around the religion. Now, people spend a few hours week to practice their religion. There are not many connections to religion in the government.

There are also more types of religions now than there were in the ancient times. They did everything for their Gods in the ancient times.

Most religions today believe in one god, and their religion believed in many gods. They also had giant shrine/buildings that they believed their gods lived in. Today we have churches, and temple where we pray, but we don't believe our god/gods live their.

The Sumerian religions were very very serious and you had to follow a lot of rules from all the gods. Today's religions, we don't have to follow a lot of rules or take it as seriously.

Christianity was a monotheistic religon , only worshiped one god, and in anicent times they were polytheistic. worship more than one god. sumer all had the same religon. Question what sicks, and buddists worship because my uncle and grandma are thoses. :) beagles.
