I did it by first creating an under painting with accurate shadowing and then later covering it the original chair color. I was inspired to use this specific position of chair because it made it appear as ominous. To create it I matched the colors of his skin to the color of my brush to show shadows and skin tones. I was inspired to use him as my subject because he has a lot in common with me and has importance in my life. I believe it was successful due to my accurate representation of a light source.
