Moreover, the detailed step-by-step guidance provided, but they needed teacher assistance to complete the process.</p><p><br></p><p>Concerns and Proposal</p><p>1.Simplify the guidance for the project to make instructions more straightforward.</p><p><br></p><p>2.Teachers must know how to handle the project platform and the purpose of the project. Due to the HTL students making unintentional noises (like table/chairs moving around or anything else), it caused distractions for the students taking the exam. </p><p><br/></p><p>May i suggest for the HTL students to sit in another class while the students take exams?          <description><![CDATA[<p>DI is important in a classroom. However, to truly implement DI in a classroom requires proper planning and execution. I’ve tried DI in my class before, (eg.) for understanding a text – whereby students of HP are asked to decipher certain meaning and MP/LP choose the most appropriate phrases that best explain the text that has been given to them. Honestly, DI is like preparing 2x of a lesson plan and it takes a lot of time in the planning process. It is feasible when we have more teachers coming onboard and sharing resources, but if it is a solo job, it gets very taxing and not sustainable. Teachers will get tired.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>while I believe the vendor-run approach was beneficial (Hari Raya), as the main in-charge, I was uncertain about how the festive team should operate. despite it being vendor-run, the students' performance significantly enhanced the celebration. it helped that the students were very self-motivated and took initiative on their own to think of their dance steps. perhaps, one area that we could work on was the duty delegation - especially for events like CNY and Hari Raya, given their varying scales, a discussion prior to the celebrations to clarify roles and responsibilities beforehand would be better.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>DI to me is using different approaches, with different amount of support, to help students of different abilities reach the same end goal. (e.g. giving LPL students more helping words to complete an essay)</p></li><li><p>I have tried letting students with LPL students in G3 use dictionary for spelling/dictation. However, it turns out that MPL students also needs that added support.</p></li><li><p>a) It is time consuming to put additional resources to give LPL students added support. </p><p>b) On the other side of the spectrum, it requires a lot of creativity to decide what kind of "middle-ground" support I can give to the MPL students. </p><p>c) It is also hard to not label students after categorising them by subject proficiency.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

For e.g. Teaching of expository essay, where Student A is clueless about the structure and ways to write the essay while we have Student B who ace expository essay writing. Learning has to go on without limiting student B’s learning and supporting Student A’s weakness.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; My DI journey comes in mixed forms, different questioning techniques for students of various abilities, group work or worksheets using DI strategies. DI is well received. But we have to be careful not be too obvious so that we will not demotivate students in the attempt to provide the support.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; DI worksheets require effort.          <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>What is DI to you </p><p>DI to me, means preparing different learning materials and activities tailored to the varying learning abilities and progress of students. For example, in writing practice, students in the HPC group tend to have stronger self-learning and expression abilities. Therefore, I often use Padlet to allow these students to freely express their views, supplement each other's ideas, and learn collaboratively. For students who are weak in CL, such as those in my 3E class, I adopt the "I do, we do, you do" approach. I first demonstrate the writing process, then guide them through it collectively, and finally let them imitate and practice the writing independently.</p></li><li><p>How is your DI journey so far</p><p>For my HPC students, they have a lot of chances to learn independetly, and most of them can complete the work. For weaker students, some of them can be benefited from the DI, espectially who has the motivation for learning. </p></li><li><p>What are chanllenges you face in adopting DI in your classroom</p><p>Students with strong learning abilities and self-motivation tend to learn increasingly faster, while those with weaker self-motivation fall further behind, widening the gap between them.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

Students should be given more time to think through about something during lesson because whatever ideas or opinions derived through thinking means learning has taken process.</p><p>2) Through the brain, thinking that occurs from connections of various ideas will strengthen with practice (brainstorming sessions) thus enhance learning.</p><p>3) Checklists of the most powerful technique to learn efficiently include reread, highlight or underline, recall (retrieval practice) and concept map creations.</p><p><br/></p><p>2 questions:</p><p>1) I wish to know the further the co-relation of sleep and learning, to translate or explain 'before learning and before sleep' and 'after learning and after sleep', what impact has learning to do with sleep?</p><p>2) I also wish to know how accurate the brain works like declarative and procedural as far as long term memory of learning is concern?</p><p><br/></p><p>1 metaphor:</p><p>Practice makes perfect. In learning, drill is important. Drill is not to kill but to skill the learner! So in learning something, we have to practice regularly by the hour, time, day, week and month.
