The model was thought of in about 400 BCE. The scientist who thought of this was Democritus who thought that the atom was just a regular sphere. There was no scientific evidence, but he believed that the atom was a indivisible particle

This model was though of by the scientist John Dalton in 1803. He thought that the atom was a solid sphere similar to a billiard ball. He thought it was indivisible, had a uniform composition and that atoms of the same element had the same size and mass, and that atoms of different elements had different sizes and masses.

This model was thought up by J.J Thompson in 1897. He thought that the atom looked like a circle but with electrons embedded in it similar to chocolate chips in a cookie. He described the atom as being made up of small negative charges floating in a sea of positive matter.

Ernest Rutherford's Atom Model (1911)

This model was thought of by Ernest Rutherford in 1911. He thought that the atom was similar to the others in the idea that it was a circle, but he thought that in that circle there was tons of empty space, like roads of sorts in the sense that there were electrons following these roads or paths all encompassing a nucleus in the middle. And Ernest did perform an experiment, in this experiment he had a thin sheet of gold and beams of particles aimed at the gold sheet, most of the beams went through the sheet but some bounced off. This experiment showed that most things going through an atom goes through due to empty space and that the things that bounce off are hitting the nucleus.

This model was thought of by Niels Bohr in 1913. He thought that the atom consisted of a nucleus in the middle and 4 circles surrounding the nucleus and this diagram is similar to the planets revolving around the sun. And the electrons closest to the nucleus have less energy.
