In the 17th century many Puritans emigrated to the New World, where they some a holy commonwealth in New England.          <description><![CDATA[<div>William Bradford, because he was a pilgrim, the second governor  of the Plymouth Colony. He helped out colony survive droughts. <br>Squanto, because he was a  Native American who helped with the natives and the Pilgrims. He was taken to England and then came back after many years and all his family was gone.<br>Charles 1 was King of England who didn't like puritans and their ideas and had a few jailed.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The Salem witch trials happen in colonial Massachusetts around 1692, 1693. About 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft the Devil’s magic and 20 were executed. The colony admitted the trials were a mistake and took the families of those accused.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Some important literature works that the puritans work on was&nbsp;<br>"Symbolism in Puritanical Writing" It's was one of the characteristics of Puritanical writing is the Puritans belief that God's hand could be found in everyday situations.<br>Another of work of art is&nbsp;<br>"Self Examination in Puritanical Writing" The Puritans greatly  education and  thinking and&nbsp; their belief that God expected much out of their lifestyles. The final work is the "Characteristics of Plain Style" The component of Puritan writing was a genre called Plain style.
