Juvenile delinquency in the Philippines is caused by a combination of poverty, broken families, lack of education, and peer pressure. Many young people are forced to survive on the streets, leading them to commit crimes out of necessity or influence from negative peer groups. Family problems such as neglect, abuse, or separation also contribute to emotional instability and risky behavior. In addition, school dropouts and limited access to proper guidance increase their chances of getting involved in drugs, theft, or gang activity. These issues, when left unaddressed, push many Filipino youth into a cycle of delinquency.
