1. We encourage that they go to the community centre as there are courses to help them speak what we speak as Singapore is an english speaking country with a bit of different language mixed so it will be easy for immigrants to communicate with us. They can also learn basic Chinese/Malay, as we go to different stores, some people don’t speak well English and most of them talk in Malay and Chinese so we would encourage them to learn a different mother tongue and understand one another. They can also feel welcome and feel fit in as they can speak Chinese and malay. It will be easier for us and feel fit in.

2. the immigrants can join those community clubs and make friends or try to talk to their neighbours, go to hawker centres and try local foods and try to fit in

3. they can go join those tour groups at the singapore arts museum that will teach us about the history of singapore ( from each art work that represents the past of singapore ) that will let them have more knowledge

4. Visit the Museum and learn more about Singapore history. As they can learn more about Singapore. During the weekends they can visit the museum as there’s so much to learn about Singapore. Like how Singapore gain independents in 1965.

5. They can make friends with local people , they can make friends with their collegues or if theyre studying here their roommates , classmates and people on campus they can ask more about the singapore culture and learn through them , but either way it is ok if its hard for them to fit in , cultural differences is very big amongst asian and western countries so it might be shocking. They can start a talking to one another and get to know each other.

How can we encourage immigrants to integrate into singapore society?
-we can encourage them in many different ways, for example,

1) let's say we have a new neighbour but she is from a different country. How can we welcome her? if we have extra food we can share some with them, if there is a special day for example hari raya or Chinese New year we can give them our traditional snacks like pineapple tarts, love letters and many more delicious snack, and while they’re there they can play some traditional games.

2)we can welcome them by inviting them to festivals like national day or a news year's celebration, something memorable. Hence if they were to go to this traditional festivals they can see the traditional clothing and what we were to wear.

3)we can also bring them to community centres cause most of the time there are many fun activities to participate in and cause community centre is one of the places where most singaporeans can mingle and make interactions.Or if they are adventurous and want to explore Singapore we can bring them to historical places in Singapore example museum.

4) Lastly we can bring them somewhere simple yet fun and interactive like the HDB void deck where many neighbours interact and mingle.

1)We should let them try our food so that they will get used to it and maybe will like it when they stay here and we should give some leftover traditional snacks such as pineapple tarts. We should also give them red packet so that they will get used to this tradition.

2)we should make a program where they have activities with their neighbours so that it won’t be awkward when they have a roommate or a neighbour and they will talk more to each other rather than ignoring each other when they see each other.

3)We should have a tourist guide so that they know more about Singapore and will be interested to settle in and learn more about Singapore’s history and use the common language in Singapore known as Singlish so that they will know how to talk to Singaporeans

4)immigrants should go for local activities like a 2.4km run so that they can see the nature in Singapore and so that they will have a nice environment when they go for walks or jogs and we can invite them for sports activities like basketball or any sport they like.

5)Immigrants can go out to special and fun places like Gardens by the bay and look at the activities that Gardens by the bay has to offer.Immigrants can also go to Sentosa as it is known for its special attractions like Universal Studios Singapore or if they want to spend some time relaxing, they can go to the beaches at Sentosa as it is known for its beaches and beach clubs.

6)We should not discriminate any foreigners that enter Singapore because they will feel threatened and scared and no longer want to stay in Singapore and Singapore will gain a bad reputation making more foreigners not wanting to stay in Singapore.
