And what makes it interesting is the strength and bravery Katniss Everdeen has! She was willing to be a sacrifice but strong enough to power through. And I think the book is better because the detailing and the powerfulness of the story is so much stronger in the book

There are about 12 different districts fighting in the games for the capitals entertainment. The capital chooses 2 people from each district to fight and the names are selected randomly. District 12 is the main district that they focus on in the movies. Katniss and Peta are two main characters in the movie that were both chosen from district 12. They are the last two standing at the end of the first movie. Katniss wants both of them to survive so she gathers poisoned berries and they are both about to eat until the capital announces that the hunger games are over. They both survive and they get taken back to the capital. The hunger games are an annual event that happens with everyone in every district. I love all of the hunger games movies and the one book that I have read.

I have read the first book, and I have seen four of the movies, starting from the first one, all the way to the fourth one, “Mockingjay Part 2”. What makes the story interesting to me is the hierarchy, and the emotions the characters go through. In my opinion, the movies are better because it’s easier for me to see a story played out, but the books are also good!

It was a really wonderful movie, and I wish to watch the rest in the future. The backstory and character development are amazing. The story is about how after WW2, the government created these games the kept citizens in line. They also created 12 districts which all citizens lived in. They chose one person from each district and sent them to a battleground where they would fight to the death. The government would also broadcast it to not only people around the world, but to the districts. That is what it is about.
