         <description><![CDATA[<p>A phrasal verb is a special type of verb that is made up of two or more words. It usually consists of a main verb and a small word usually an adverb or a preposition (<em>on, off, in, up etc</em>.).</p><p><br></p><p>When we put these words together, they create a new meaning that is different from the original verb. For example, the phrasal verb <strong>“turn off”</strong> means to switch something, like a light or a TV, to the “off” position.</p><p><br></p><p>For example,</p><p><br></p><p><em>You can switch off the lights before leaving the room.</em></p><p><br></p><p><em>It means you want someone to switch off the lights.</em></p><p><br></p>]]></description>
