Aydin🤠🏈
I picked this because this was the easiest and most fun
page for me to do. The book I am reading is really good and the Depth and Complexity assignment was a lot more interesting for me this year than last year. My book has a lot of problems and solutions so I think this year Depth and
Complexity was alot easier and more funer than last year. I guess it all depends on what book you pick!
Some examples of conflicts I found in the book included human vs. self and human vs. nature. I really understood Depth and Complexity better this year.

I chose this page of depth and complexity because I got to do the really fun things. The first one was I got to write about all of the story elements like the climax, falling action and the rising action. I got to think about the antagonist and the protagonist. The protagonist are the good people and the antagonist are the bad people in this story. Some examples of the protagonists are Harry, Dumbuldor, Suris and etc. Some examples of the antagonists are Voldemort, Wormtail, Umbridge and etc. This page on story plots, it was on the third book.

How Percy one of the many main characters is running from monsters and woke up with no memory, he slays the monsters but they keep coming and he stumbles to camp Jupiter and that's how the book started. The part I was describing on the left page was my favorite part in the book when they're playing war games. War games is a game like capture the flag except, well Roman style, with weapons water blasters turtle formations and complete chaos.

This page was chosen because how deep I thought about it and the effort that was put into this page was gladlly made with the help of reading "WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS" by Wilson Rawls. While making this page I used the green booklet that helped show how to do "Ethics" which was the Conflict, Problem/Solution and Examples of stereotypes, prejudices.

Literature blocks consist of reading and writing about what we are reading. In this part of the year, students have picked their own books to read and are required to filled out a detailed packet focused on what they are reading. I was humbled by the seriousness and the effort students put into these packets this year! They build our comprehension and our understandings of how literature works. I know this has strengthened our students knowledge of literature!

Here’s an example of a literature resource that I used over and over with great success with my students. This activity took time and was executed over weeks. It wasn’t easy, however my students always learned and went deeply in their learning. The resources can be found in the blackboard classroom. They can be purchased through teachers pay teachers and it’s called the make a bundle for depth and complexity. I’m sure a creative teacher with lots of time could also make their own😊
