Why/why not?<br><strong>My answer : </strong>He is confused about his identity, others see him as white but he is also an aboriginal.<br><strong>Point :</strong> Polly Borland wrote about how Freddy Andrews is being very confused about his identity and who he really is.<br><strong>(Introduction to evidence) : </strong>In the beginning of the text Borland clearly talks about Freddy's Aboriginal identity and his confusion. <strong><br>Evidence : </strong>"I'm confused with my Aboriginal identity. Grønvold</div><div><br></div><div>He (<em>Freddy Andrews</em>) said that he can't quite be himself, because he's an aboriginal and he that makes him feel like he can't be socialize like the other people. (Freddy Andrews points out that being an aboriginal in front of white people makes him feel like he can't be himself.) <em>"I'm confused with my Aboriginal identity...I can hide in society because of my white skin, if I don't bring up my Aboriginality... That's like being split in half. Trying to be someone I'm not"</em>.<strong> </strong>By that he (<em>Freddy Andrews</em>) meant that he feels like he's forced to be someone he's not, because of his identity.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Freddy Andrews said that it is hard being an aboriginal, living beside white people with the stereotypical comments. (He points out that he is treated different from the others, just because of his Aboriginality.) "It's always been about land rights and recognition -that we're not dumb, we aren't useless, we aren't all alcoholics, you know". By that he meant that it is not easy living a life with hatred and negative stereotypical comments and it surely isn't easy being Aboriginal.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
